I graduated in May with the class of 1961 and did what many my age did - got married and learned how to make chocolate chip cookies. Something good comes from most things and the good of that was Jill and Paige, Somehow I decided that if you had 12 years in the Trent School System - you probably didn't need any more education. After divorce, I worked for State Farm Agent, Billy Joe Toombs and got a wonderful foundation in the insurance world. In 1983 I was offered a chance to be an agent in Irving, Texas. I was so fortunate and was able to raise my girls and send them for that college education that I didn't need! I retired three years ago and I am living in Arlington and have a small cabin in the mountains of New Mexico. Jill and her family live in Arlington and Paige and her bunch recently moved to Taylor, Texas near Austin and I plan to join them as soon as I get a buyer for my home in Arlington. I have been blessed with two grandsons, Trent and Tye and two granddaughters, Morgan and Maddie. I love to cook, quilt and recently trying my hand at oil painting. So, I keep busy, | Photos | Sep 21, 2007 |

A week ago this past Sunday I was watching the early morning news show - either ABC or CBS...and they were talking about the wind mills and then there they were in downtown Trent. They showed the street - Star Hardware, the bank building and then&... more | Guestbook | |
 | You are sweet! Not sure that anyone else would enjoy it, but you are free to use it. I would love it. |
 | Paula, do you mind if I use your mouton story in the Merkel Mail inDecember? It is very well written and so personal and interesting, tear jerker too. Thanks so much. |
 | So sorry - I have not been feeling very good, My daughter, Jill, flew into El Paso and drove me home. Say a prayer for me...seriously. I just can't stop crying. Some very deep deression. Take care and thanks for caring. |
 | Paula, I have written you a couple of time & have heard nothing back. I don't believe for a minute that I've offended you - call me a cynic! But have you not received my messages? Can't trust that New Mexico air! Are you smelling the fires from CA yet? I did in '03

 | Actually, we made it to Merkel for the visitation the night before the funeral. The Reeds were so good to me and the girls. Actually after Terry's problem it was just never the same. He was always wanting Jill to babysit when he had Tabitha and I was not comfortable with that and it hurt Joans feelings. You know how those things can just mushroom. I actually testified for Terry at his trial, but somehow they had suffered so much, it just took its tole on them and I understand. Jill and Paige still talk about the good times we had with them,]
Did you make it to homecoming. I so hate that I couldn't make it....just too much going on with the move, etc.
Where are you living now? I sure plan to make the next homecoming and hope you will to. Where is Edward? Tell him hello... |
 | HOW ARE THE GIRLS DOING? HAS JOAN REED SEEN THEM? WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU. |
 | You are so sweet! The truth is I look like a old gray headed woman!! Seems like that is what happened over night. Sorry I will miss homecoming. Hope you'all have a great weekend. |
 | HI PAULA, THIS IS BEVERLY HALLFORD DAVIS. I'M NOT ALWAYS SURE WHERE MY EMAILS GO EITHER BUT HOPE YOU GET THIS ONE. I THINK YOU LOOK VERY PRETTY, JUST LIKE PAULA FROM HIGH SCHOOL. WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU. |
 | Kaye, I need help! I really planned on coming - then this house deal dragged out FOR EVER and I just decided to give it up. Now the real truth is I just not very safe emotionally. I have been having hours of crying and I think this will pass,,,but not sure when. I think those get togethers can be pretty emotional . I always want to look better, talk less, and you know the bottom line is your are who you are. Anyway, thanks for caring.
I am anxious to get moved and will be so disappointed if you and Sue don't come to see me. I'm certainly older, but I have so enjoyed our time together on this blog. It has been a life line for me during the past week or so. I do think God is thinking about us and sends someone into our lives when we are needing them the most.
I was just telling Jerry Mac how much I admired your Mom. It took me having two children to raise by myself to appreciate all she did for you guys. She seemed to be so happy and she had to have a hard time financially. I wish I had told her this. Maybe she reads our blogs and now she knows. |
 | We'll wee you homecoming, right? |
 | Paula, I finally got to your site. You are doing better than I am at mastering this site. I write something and never know exactly where it is going to show up! |
 | I don't think I have seen you since 1961 - but you and Glenna were the cutest little girls - so sweet and fun! |
 | Paula thanks for the comments on my Memory Page. I could have used some help on my spelling and grammer but I did go to school at Trent. This has been lots of fun touching base with everyone |
 | You could have moved to Trent and never had another boring day in your life. There is always someone needing a Committee Chairman for something!!! That's my life in a nutshell (literally). Later |
 |
Well,,,,Kaye and I have mentioned we don't "intend" to hog the airway - - now that you have arrived, we will set back and read about you and your life!! I will be the first to admit (other than this pending move) I have no life! P.D
|
 | Cuz...You have worn me out! I have been reading your comments and replies for hours.( I have dial-up) You really need to get a life. Just kidding....See ya at homecoming Sheila Jon |
 | I have tried to invite several and it shows blocked. Both of my sisters would enjoy the site if I could just get them started. Ann works for Waco ISD and that is her only email - it shows blocked and Lynda's shows blocked as well. What about Tellie? Why aren't we hearing from her?
I have really enjoyed hearing about all of you and it could be that I don't have much of a life - just like grumpyoldman says! |
 | Paula, we'll have lunch after you get to Taylor. That's a neat town, but it's exploding with people like everything in Cenral Texas. You will not believe the traffic in Austin. It really is horrible. Anyway, I wanted to tell you that my very best friend in the world - Judy Talley - is a Realtor w/Keller Williams. I met her in 1971 at church after Roger & I moved to Austin, and our families have remained very close. She's really like a sister to me. So, if you need help finding a place, let her help you. She's semi-retired in that she doesn't go out and seek new business, but she still works with anyone who calls her and with all of her previous clients. You will really like her. And whether or not you want to use her as a Realtor, I want you to meet her. K |
 | What a great looking family you have! One of these days I'm gonna' come visit you in Cloud Croft. I loved that place.
I'm glad that those of us who are viewing and working on the Gorilla site are enjoying it! It is kind of fun, isn't it? I read about the Multiply.com site in the New York Times & decided to give it a try! I wish the others to whom I've sent invites would come on in. I'm concerned that maybe they don't know how? Then again, maybe they don't like to visit! |
 |
Actually I hit submit before I was through with my thought! I couldn't add the photo if I looked like a million dollars! I'm just so proud of getting a message sent! Paula
